We're in Staunton, VA!

The move was successful despite an attack of fire ants just before we left. We all survived the move even Aggie, who spent the week with my parents in Blacksburg, VA. The truck arrived in Staunton on the 12th and we were in by that night. Luckily we had very pleasant weather which made all the physical arranging and rearranging easier.

Our friend, Mike Nunnally, came by on the 14th and helped us unpack, mostly with all the kitchen stuff...a never ending stream of little things all wrapped up in tons of paper.

Neighbors and friends came by to introduce themselves or say hello, many bringing meals or goodies for us to enjoy. William Browning and his fiance, Barbara Wimble, have been great in introducing us to folks here. We feel very at home and love walking all around our new town.

Saturday we walked downtown with Maggie, our very helpful neighbor, to the farmer's market and discovered more to like about this place.

We feel quite blessed to have landed here but do miss many of our good friends in TX.

The biggest news in our family is that both Abby and Tucker have become engaged within a week of each other. Abby to Evan in Nashville and Tucker to Sabine while on vacation in the Alps. We are quite happy to include them both in our family.Enough for now...
